2nd BRIDGE Module

2nd BRIDGE Module, Maputo - from 11 and 13 November 2015

 

The second BRIDGE module training on "Introduction to Electoral Administration” was conducted between 11 and 13 November 2015 in Maputo. This workshop was organised also within the framework of the project PEV-SADC (Preventing Electoral Violence in SADC Region). The final agenda was designed for 3-day course and it covered the following important topics: the guiding principles for electoral management, ethics in electoral processes, code of conduct for the state budget, electoral management bodies structures, the electoral cycle, election financing, electoral sustainability, among others.

 

Three facilitators conducted the workshop: Felisberto Naife (STAE General Director), Maria Mulhule (senior officer of STAE), and Alberto Manhique (Director of Civil Society Forum for Civic Education in Mozambique). ECES were represented by Claudio Guilietti, Election, Operation and Training Advisor of PEV-SADC Project.

 

At the end of the workshop Maria Mulhule and Alberto Manhique successfully completed their fieldwork component of the accreditation process and were awarded certificate for full Accreditation as BRIDGE facilitators. In addition, this module permitted to certify 24 participants. Evaluation statistics show that participants were highly satisfied both with presentation and the content of the training.
